The basics: an action plan
Just as you must be able to show your future customers a plan of action, you must also be able to demonstrate in writing which direction you want to take with your company. Writing a business plan may seem like one big hassle, but nothing could be further from the truth. It also gives you a foothold to set clear goals and keep track of your developments. Maybe you’re not that strong at this? Then you can always ask for help from an acquaintance or someone who is good at writing. You will often only really realize what you want to do with your company while writing an action plan. It also helps you to remain realistic.
Purchase materials
It’s not that you have to have a million bricks in stock in advance, or 100,000 kilos of cement. Some jobs require more material than others. Usually you estimate this in advance and order the supplies based on that estimate. There are also things that you have to invest in, because these are supplies that you will use every time. For example, depending on the specification of your business, you could invest in an excavator and crane. These attributes must be made ‘your own’, so that you can advertise your company during the construction project. When you outsource painting cranes and painting excavators, all the people driving or walking past the construction project will see your name. This is, of course, good advertising.
Time for a good network
